Regional Sales Manager

Reports To:Director of Sales
Purpose: Total Energy Systems, LLC (TES) is seeking a qualified Generator Systems Specialists Manager (GSSM) based in one of our sales/service locations and reports directly to our Director of Sales. The GSSM is responsible for all Generator Systems Specialists (GSS) personnel across Total Energy Systems, LLC territory. This position considers market factors and competition, directs sales efforts, develops talent and stays in close communication with Kohler personnel to meet revenue & profit goals.
Key Job Accountabilities:1. Lead industrial product sales efforts for significant growth and increased market penetration
2. Participate in developing sales and marketing plans to meet goals
3. Develop market penetration strategy specific to salesperson/territory
4. Work with sales team for comprehensive training and development
5. Provide coaching and guidance to sales team in group & individual settings
6. Participate in recruitment efforts of new team member
7. Assist with high profile quotations
8. Support partnership between Sales Team and Aftermarket Team and other functional business segments within Total Energy Systems, LLC
9. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key accounts, prospects and suppliers
10. Handle employee, vendor and customer issues when appropriate
11. Travel throughout Total Energy Systems territories to maintain consistent presence (75% expectation)
12. Develop, utilize & promote CRM best practices
13. Be a role model for the company culture, support implementation of procedural, process and organizational changes required to achieve identified growth objectives
Skills/Abilities/Requirements/Experience:1. Required: Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college or university
2. Required: Valid Driver’s License
3. Required: Five plus years of management and/or power generation industry experience
4. Experience with and proficiency in MS Office applications and ability to utilize these tools in the day-to-day business environment
5. Self-starter, exercises good judgment, is proactive, and demonstrates timely follow-through
6. Practiced organizational skills; adherence to timelines and schedules; and attention to detail
7. Willingness and ability to manage through collaboration; embrace accountability and share responsibility
8. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job specifications, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
9. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form. Ability to assist customers with the installation needs on the jobsite.
